The Rest of the Fasting Story

I woke this morning and found this posted on Madi's Facebook page:
“My grandpa was in my dream for the first time last night - tickling me and giving me hugs and kisses like he used to do.  This morning I found out he passed away last night.  I will miss him so much but he is no doubt in a better place and is loving every minute of it.  Love you grandpa!  Thanks for visiting me last night!”

When we talked later that morning, she told me that she did not feel very well. When I asked her about it, she said that it was probably because she had decided to fast yesterday (she does not normally fast because with the medicine she takes for Lupus, she is not supposed to go without food).  She said that she loved Grandpa so much and she really felt strongly about trying to fast for him as much as she could and so she did.  She said that grandpa has never been in her dream before and that the dream was as vivid and real as if he were really there.  She woke up so happy!

Call it coincidence or circumstance or what have you, but I call it a tender mercy from heaven.  I know that Heavenly Father heard all our prayers as we fasted yesterday.  I love that my dad, who I had fasted and prayed for to be released from his earthly prison, was set free and that he appeared in a dream to Madi, who I had also fasted and prayed for.  It was as if he were sending a message to me saying, "Don't worry, I'll watch over her.  It's all going to be alright."  It's just like dad to do such a thing.  Oh how I love him.  How I love my Father in Heaven for hearing the prayers of such an insignificant one as me.
