Birthday Season Upon Us

It seems that the older I get, the faster the speed of life goes.
Really.  It can't be birthday season again already.  It must be true though.  Sarah just had her birthday and became 24 years old on August 17, 2011,
which means my turn is next.

It's flying.  That's what it's doing.  Time.
I could swear I just renewed my annual Deseret Book Preferred Customer card one month ago -
and today, the lady at the checkout stand insisted it's up for renewal in November.  Whatever!
Maybe when you get old, you slow down so much that everything everything else seems to move at lightening speed.  I think the teenager in the car behind me today proved that to be true.
I guess there's nothing I can do but hold on for dear life and ride it out.
So here I am with some of the kids at the ripe old age of 46.
August 20, 2011.
They were so darling to decorate a table at Dask's for me!

And then a couple days later, Haley gets a very grown-up gift of a Bosch Mixer for her birthday.  That means she too is getting old.  She's an official adult now at 21 years of age.

We are all happy she got this gift - it means yummy things will come our way!

He has no idea because his concept of time is pretty much nonexistent at this point, but little William's first year went by faster than you can say Zeetskies Jangles Noodle-bucket!

 So happy.

The party at the park is a brilliant idea!

First birthday cake - he pretty much devours it!

Balloons are the only present he really needs!

And then our Nate turns 24 on September 13, 2011 (but apparently no one thought of taking a picture of his special day).  That's what happens when the mother leaves town :(

Then in September, Madi has a birthday and although she is half my age, she better not blink because the next 23 years will fly for her too I bet.

So, so pretty :)

Yes birthday season is upon us.  October will give us a rest, but then in November both Syd and Joel will join the ranks of another year gone by.
I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad about this.
