There comes a point in every man's life when his "need" of adequate television/movie/sports watching equipment completely submerges thoughts of practicality and frugality. In this case, those thoughts grew into a new wall in our basement TV room, the re-jiggering of a closet door to a new location, the re-routing of wires, new paint, the installation of a projector and big screen, a new sectional couch, the addition of a treat "bar" complete with popcorn machine and candy, a port for gaming systems, and a splendid wall of sound and video equipment that would make any man drool. The bonus is a hidden wall of narrow shelves that house our alphabetized collection of DVD's and VHS movies! One would hope such a room would not go to waste, and I am happy to report that it does not! We have used this room more in a few months than we did in the 8 years prior! Excellent splurge!
