"Although cards are nice, they're read once or twice.
A book is a treasure with words and pictures that unite,
To read over and over night after night.
So instead of a card to Baby and Mother,
Please give a book with your thoughts in the cover."

The shower was a HUGE success!  Friends and family showered Haley with all sorts of wonderful baby clothes, toys and books!  Kudos to Michelle Barnes for throwing such a perfect party!  After saying good-bye to the guests and cleaning up a bit, I went into my closet to change my clothes and I discovered this:

The ceiling over my part of the closet had fallen down and a stream of water was pouring over my clothes!  The carpet in the closet was sopping wet!  A water pipe for our shower steam unit had frozen and burst!  I sent the girls down to the gym to see if there was water down there and they confirmed that yes, indeed, it was like a rain-forest!  Joel turned the water main off and we called our insurance company.  A clean up crew came a few hours later and the drying out began.  I have a feeling it's going to be a long road ahead in getting back to normal again :(

We REALLY know how to throw showers!
