Consignment Shopping

I spent the day today in search of the perfect night stand to keep Sydney's new princess bed company.  I went to an outlet furniture store, 2 antique shops and 3 consignment shops.  This I learned -- there is a LOT of junk out there for sale!  But hey, one man's junk is another man's treasure!  Sydney and I finally found our treasure in the form of a night stand at the Home and Hearth Consignment shop in Lehi, Utah.  It was only $100!  It is a distressed cream color with charming detail on the front two doors.   It is the right size, color, height, style, price......everything.  Perfect.  And I love that it is gently used.  I love finding a perfect fit!  Syd and I carried it carefully to her room, put her pretty little lamp on it and then stood back and stared at it.  It inspired us.  We now have plans to cover up the bunnies on her wall.  Now that is a distressing problem that I think I'll tackle tomorrow or the next day... right now I want to go look at the new night stand and call it a successful day!
